The future of driving to be discussed at Istanbul international automotive conference

 Istanbul is preparing to host an international automotive conference later this month in the Hilton Bosphorus hotel.

World Automotive Conference will see more than 500 attendants, 50 speakers and more than 40 sponsors, come to the Turkish city on 11 and 12 October.

Speakers are expected from Saudi Arabia, India, Czech Republic, Serbia, Iran, Belgium and Hungary.

Subjects under discussion include industry trends, digitalisation, electrification, robotics, amd the question of whether the industry is prepared for such changes in demand. There will also be a focus on the future of how we drive – with talks on car sharing, autonomous vehicles and hybrid technology. Consumer safety apps and the potential for intelligent transport systems will also be discussed.

Fourteen major car manufacturers are set to attend the conference, including Ford Otosan, Toyota, BMC, Otokar, Isuzu, Renault, Karsan, Tofas, Honda, Hyundai, Daimler, MAN, Temsa and Hattat.
